I’ll be presenting Digital Foundations: FLOSS and Design Principles in Software Education, in the Soft Borders Conference in São Paulo, Brazil.

This conference will gather artists from around the world, to create discussions about new media art.  The main theme of the conference is borders dissolution between many fields of knowledge and life.

I’ll be organizing a translation sprint to the portuguese language of Digital Foundations as well.

Estaré presentando Fundamentos Digitales: Principios FLOSS y de diseño en la Educación de Programas, en la conferencia Soft Borders en São Paulo, Brazil.

Esta conferencia reunirá artistas de todas partes del mundo para iniciar discusiones y diálogos con relación a New Media. El tema principal de la conferencia, es la disolución de los bordes entre las variadas áreas de conocimiento y la vida.

Al mismo tiempo, estaré organizando un sprint de traducción al idioma portugués del libro Digital Foundations.

Day 3: More and more work.  I’m amazed by the effort the students are making to get the entire manual translated.  This is the best group one could ever work with.  AMAZING!

Día 3: Más y más trabajo.  Estoy sorprendida del esfuerzo y la concentración con que los estudiantes trabajan para terminar de traducir el manual.  Este es el mejor grupo con el que uno podría trabajar.  ¡INCREÍBLE!

Day 2: We worked hard today, even without the internet! Students from Escuela de Arte 10 and educator Ana Angulo joined us again today and worked immensely! They organized themselves today to get things done.

Día 2: hoy trabajamos muy duro, ¡sin el acceso al internet! Los magníficos estudiantes de la Escuela de Arte 10 y su profesora Ana Angulo vinieron de nuevo a trabajar inmensamente. Los estudiantes se organizaron entre ellos y coordinaron el proceso para trabajar al máximo.

Day 1: is off to a good start. There’s about 10 students from Escuela de Arte Número Diez here at Medialab Prado (Madrid, Spain) working on the Inkscape FLOSS Manual.  They’re working in teams translating the entire manual into Spanish.  There’s also 3 remote collaborators translating the Collaborative Futures manual.

Día 1: hemos empezado muy bien.  Tenemos aproximadamente unos 10 estudiantes de la Escuela de Arte Número Diez aquí en Medialab Prado (Madrid, España) trabajando en el Manual FLOSS de Inkscape.  Los estudiantes se han organizado en grupos para traducir el manual del inglés al español.  Además hoy contamos con 3 colaboradores remotos que han estado trabajando en el manual Collaborative Futures.
