About

I design at the intersection of
systems thinking and
human complexity.

I'm a product designer with 15+ years shipping end-to-end digital experiences across fintech, enterprise SaaS, and B2B commerce. I've led design at American Express and AB InBev's BEES, driven enterprise UX transformation at Korn Ferry, and built a creative practice partnering with brands like The New York Times and Pepsi.

My career began at the intersection of art, code, and storytelling — designing editorial and interactive experiences for global brands. As the founder of Candelita Studio, I collaborated with entrepreneurs, cultural institutions, and startups to bring bold ideas to life. Over time, I moved into enterprise product design leadership, guiding distributed teams and delivering scalable, accessible design systems for financial services, HR tech, and B2B commerce platforms. Today I lead behavioral experimentation at American Express, helping teams simplify complexity, design end-to-end experiences that hold up under real-world constraints, and create user-centered products that earn trust.

What draws me to principal-level work is the upstream problem: getting involved early enough to help shape what gets built, not just how it looks. I've built experimentation frameworks, run moderated research, mapped multi-role information architectures with accessibility (WCAG) built in from the start, and hired and grown distributed design teams — often simultaneously. I work AI-first, using Claude, Cursor, and Lovable to accelerate concept testing and close the distance between an idea and something teams can meaningfully react to.

I've been a guest lecturer and advisor at Escuela de Arte 10 and Medialab Prado in Spain, Plasma Conference and Fundación Telefónica in Peru, and Eyebeam in New York. I hold a Master's in Design and Technology from Parsons The New School for Design and a Bachelor's in Visual Communication from ProDiseño in Caracas, Venezuela.

At the heart of my work is a belief that design is a bridge — between business and customer needs, between creativity and systems thinking, and between cultural context and digital innovation. I lead with curiosity, empathy, and a deep respect for collaboration.
